I doubt it. But it's probably good enough to sell animations if you use
it wisely.
I don't think the VLab Motion can achieve the throughput that the PAR
gets. VLab is limited by the ZII bus (until they come out with a ZIII bus
version or do a direct connection of some sort to accelerator cards and
the Draco). The PAR has its own internal IDE controller which might also
be 16 bit, but since it is the only device using its controller everything is
optimized for the task of video playback.
Hence for animation layback I would expect the PAR to have an edge.
For editing, the VLab Motion has more capablities.

Some people won't be happy until you get an Abacus, do single
frame recording, or lay it off to film. But for a wide variety of jobs
the VLab dubbed to BetaCamSP, even without using component
i/o, will likely be fine.
I wouldn't get hung up on the component i/o if the VLab Motion
(or the Flyer, for that matter) were my primary output device. It's
more important to deliver animations on a high quality tape format
like BetaCamSP, (even with composite or S-Video i/o), rather than
somthing like SVHS. Using a better tape format makes a big difference.
